Oh no, not the dreaded portraits - why oh why!
Many group portraits are family portraits, taken every few years. The "portrait" provides cherished memories of how you looked “back then” and a fond record of the children’s growth. Mostly groups taken in the home show the familiar warmth of home, while outdoor portraits are a close second showing the lifestyles of the group, with the studio portrait usually ranking last in terms of popularity. Blah!
While I'm not a huge fan of traditional family & senior portraits, I do like the idea of a quirkier take on the classic portrait. The less-traditional photo shoot usually provides a better glimpse of the family's personality in a way that a more classic portrait isn't able to achieve. A great family portrait captures the warmth and love between family members. What more could you ask for?

What does a session look like?
An average session will include initial contact between you and I to make sure that I can fulfill your expectations. We'll go over a few details about Preparing for your photo session. These are portraiture sessions that can be an individual or couples. We can shoot indoors or out – I can assess your area to determine the best possible results. I do have a portable studio system and a typical living room, office or board room makes a nice and comfortable place for a sitting. These can be sittings for your family, weddings, senior portraits, corporate, birth, pet, etc., it really doesn't matter to me. I will have a laptop with me and I shoot tethered (camera direct to laptop) so that you can make sure that you are happy with the photos as they are being shot. It will take me about 30-45 minutes to get setup – we will shoot anywhere from an hour or two and I will direct your posing with input from you. If possible, we will shoot different locations and props are welcomed (cars, motorcycles, pets, barn, horses, etc.). Changing of clothes is also welcomed and encouraged. (Formal, Casual, Biker, Cowboy, etc.) It will take me about 30 minutes to break down.

What’s in this for me?
I am glad that you asked; photos, real printed photos - framed prints, metallic, canvas, how about your mug on a mug - there are over 375 different products to choose from! I will create your online gallery account as soon as we get a schedule set. After each session; I will process your photos and then put them into your secure gallery for you and your family to proof. I use MPix Pro Lab to process all my photography because they are the leader in the industry and will take great care of your memories. You'll have your print credit that you'll then be able to use to order anything from the online catalog. If that wasn't enough, we offer professional color correction and retouching services to make sure that "you look marvelous"!
Ok, so give me the dirt; what’s this going to cost me?
Nothing, nada, zip – no charge for the initial consultation or the on-location session fee, saving you hundreds - how can that be you ask? Simple really, because we give you all your session fee back as a print credit! Here let me show you a couple of examples:

Tell me more about this "session fee"? Ok, there is a $100 deposit due when the date is booked, the remainder of the session fee is due on or before your booked date. The Session fee includes: (photographer, time, equipment and talent, on-location portrait session, up to 3 outfit changes, 1-2 hour session, online proofing gallery, 5 retouched images, and 50 miles of travel.)
